Dr. Arthur R. Davis is an area community youth mentor, educator, author, higher education curriculum consultant, Regional Director of Social Action for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, and a Chicago Police Detective. Dr. Davis is unapologetically African and strives to empower the community through service and education. He has taught social/criminal justice and youth engagement at various universities and within the community.
Dr. Davis is a founding member of the Blue and White Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide at risk children with exposure to educational opportunities, mentorship, and culturally diverse environments, which will empower and encourage future success. The foundation’s evidenced based initiatives have been praised by students, parents, teachers, principals, and elected officials. More specifically, their services include but are not limited to, the B&W Young Black Male Mentoring Initiative and the B&W Spring College Tour for elementary and high school students. In addition, the annual B&W College Scholarships are issued to African American young men, graduating seniors, within the Chicago-land area that have exhibited high academic achievement and are attending a four-year university or college. .
Dr. Davis has twenty-four years of service with the Chicago Police Department, which includes working as a Patrol Officer, Gang Officer, Narcotics Officer, DEA Task Force Officer, Internal Affairs Investigator, Hostage Negotiator, Homicide Detective, and Investigative Response Detective. He also serves as a Curriculum Consultant for the City of Chicago Colleges, and an Adjunct Professor at Lewis University, National Louis University, and Benedictine University.
Dr. Davis is supported by the love of his life, Senora Ben, and his two children Ariyana Davis (ΖφΒ) and Amaya Davis (ΖφΒ).
